LiB's Market 474 E. State Street Salem, OH 44460 LiB's Market Through a recommendation we made our way out to Salem, Ohio this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining down sending us a lot of warmth. Arriving in town, you could tell that there was so much history and each place had a story to tell.  We found an area that had public parking. It was perfect for those that wanted to discover what Salem had to offer. Getting out of the car, we were met with a painting on the side of the building. A bold statement that showed this little town had heart.  Strolling down the street, we couldn't help but notice what a neat little town Salem appeared to be. Soon, John and Bea would find out for themselves just how hospitable the towns people treated outsiders. We found LiB's Market a little ways up from where we parked our car. It's in the center of town. Entering through the door we noticed that there was writing on the side of the wall with a list of t

Culture House Coffee Company

Culture House Coffee Company 818 Elm Street Youngstown, OH 44505 www.culturehousecoffeeco.com On our journey to find the best coffee in the country, we found ourselves visiting a cozy location with a positive vibe in the heart of Youngstown, OH. Culture House Coffee Company is a small coffee house located off Youngstown State University campus. There is plenty of street parking, but make sure that you keep track of time as there are posted signs, on the street, stating 30 minute parking during certain hours.  Stepping inside we were greeted by a pleasant barista. John informed her of who we were and that our java journey led us to their coffee house. She was quite knowledgeable of their product and helpful in helping us discover the perfect drink.  At this time, they do not have any signature drinks, but did offer a Campfire Mocha. Both of us ordered one and added an order of their house coffee. The Campfire Mocha was a latte with mocha and toasted marshmallow with Ghirardelli Chocolat

Joe Maxx Coffee Company

Joe Maxx Coffee Company 7305 Chippewa Road Brecksville, OH 44141 www.joemaxxcoffee.com Saturday we found ourselves visiting the next coffee shop on our java journey. The path led us to a small coffee shop in Brecksville, OH called Joe Maxx Coffee Company. This was a first time visit for both of us.  Our first impression was that it was a smaller location, parking and space is limited. It reminded us of an old fashioned diner with counter seating. There were a few tables, but they would only accommodate 2 guests per table. For a smaller location they were quite busy. Our turn to order came and we searched the menu for their signature drinks. Nothing was posted and we had to ask for them. Note~their signature drinks are posted on the drive thru menu. Bea ordered a hot Bumblebee (banana, vanilla and honey). John ordered a hot Black and Tan (peanut butter topped with whipped cream and ground cocoa). We also ordered a small house coffee. We would like to add that they do have different food

Restoration 44 Coffee Co. 10675 Main Street Mantua, Ohio 44255 www.r44coffee.com Our coffee journey led us to a local coffee shop in downtown Mantua, Ohio. For a Friday afternoon they were quite busy. The spacious setting offered plenty of seating for patrons to relax. They offered different food and drink options for those that wanted something a little more than coffee. We ordered several items off of their menu. Bea ordered the Caramel Crunch Coffee, John ordered a coffee flight that included Cherry Mocha, Almond Maple Latte and Caramel Macchiato. Our personal favorite out of those three was the Almond Maple Latte. We wanted to try their Dark Roast as well. Personally, we didn't care for their regular coffee. It was a bit too bitter for our liking. Their signature drinks were spot on! We couldn't leave without ordering a White Chocolate Raspberry Latte. John and Bea, both give it a thumbs up. For food, John ordered the Avocado Toast on an Asiago Bagel. His exact words were,
