Christmas in July 🎄 We had found out about The Christmas Cafe through Facebook. If anyone knows Bea, you know that she's a Christmas fanatic. So this was at the top of her list of places to visit.

Walking through the doors it felt like you were walking into Santa's workshop. An employee was at the counter to greet us. Everything on their menu looked so good and appetizing.

We need to stop right here ✋The excitement soon died out after several things were noticed. They have a great concept and many decorations that would make you smile. For one, we know that around Christmas time it's supposed to be chilly and cold, but people don't want to walk into a coffee shop and have it freezing. It was so cold that you would expect to see Mr. Snow Miser present. The staff was not personable at all. In fact, after they found out we were with Bindi's Bean Blog they became quiet and ignored us the entire time. We don't expect you to talk to us but act like you enjoy your job and customers aren't a burden. For a Christmas themed coffee shop customers expect happiness and being jolly. Like with anything we also know that there will be days that happiness doesn't come that easily.

Bea ordered a Let It Snow Latte, nice peppermint drink. For food, a bacon , egg and cheese biscuit along with home fries was ordered. The food was extremely dry, the potatoes tasted like they were baked and then microwaved. Could not finish.

John went with the Secret Santa Latte. "Secrecy" must be a thing here as they wouldn't reveal what was in the drink. The only thing that could be determined is that gingerbread was a dominant flavor. For food, he went with the chicken and waffles. He stated it tasted like a store bought waffle and chicken tenders. Good, but overpriced.

If you've been following our blog, you know that we always order a house blend of coffee. Well, this particular blend of coffee was bitter. We always ask a location who the roaster is and this way we can give them a shout out. So, apparently, they use a "secret" roaster as we were told that it's against their company policy to reveal. Maybe that was a good thing as it was not very good and it reminded us of a coffee that you would see in a grocery store.

This was possibly one of the biggest coffee shop disappointments we've encountered. They have a great concept, but missed the mark. Our blog has been going a year and a half with us visiting over 40 shops since our start, and soon will be going international.
