Twisted Peacock

Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop 888 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. Vienna, OH 44473 Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop We stumbled upon the Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop while scrolling through Facebook. Upon viewing what they had to offer we knew that a trip to Vienna was in order.  Saturday morning we arose from our coffee craving slumber. Got ready, piled into the car and made our way to get some coffee. We traveled about 30-45 minutes to get there. My father used to joke with us that we would drive 100 miles, one way, to get a cup of coffee. If he could see us now. Grant it, we didn't drive 100 miles, but we did pack on a few miles by the time we made it home. When we got there we were not aware that they were having a "Coffee with a Cop" event. There were several police officers present from the Vienna Township Police Department . Making our way to the front counter we were met with such a nice employee. She knew it was our first time there and still took a moment to explain what item...

Coffee Corners Antiques and Coffee House 14544 North Cheshire Burton, OH 44021 Coffee Corners Antiques and Coffee House On a cold, rainy Saturday morning what better way to warm up, but by taking a ride into the cool little town of Burton. We ended up here by a recommendation of a friend. This adventure was a little different, we were joined by friends.  Coffee Corners Antiques and Coffee House has been located in Burton for the last 27 years. Walking through the front door you wouldn't expect it to be as big as it is. It really had the feel of a Christmas Hallmark movie. They have seating in each little room, and we do have to mention that it's quite a cozy place. This location had a little bit of everything...coffee, wine, beer, candles, maple syrup, miscellaneous  items, etc. The employees had a good system of taking care of customers in an orderly fashion.  Since this was our first time visiting we wanted to order one of their signature drinks. Bea ordered a ho...

Winans Chocolate & Coffee 24 East Auglaize St. Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895 Winans Chocolate & Coffee "That's one small step for me, one giant leap for mankind." ~Neil Armstrong While on a mini getaway, the Java Highway led us to a coffee shop in Wapakoneta, Ohio called Winans Chocolate & Coffee. Our main reason for visiting Wapakoneta was that it's the hometown of Astronaut Neil Armstrong. After indulging in coffee and chocolate we made our way to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum .  Since this was our first time visiting we didn't know what to expect. Our first impression was that it was a bit upscale with the chocolate being the first thing you saw. They had all sorts of chocolate, but one caught our eye. It was the Milk Chocolate Honeycomb Crisp. The honeycomb crisp was spot on and made our visit worth it.  Both of us, took a moment before making our coffee selections. They had a few that looked delicious. Bea decided on an iced Autumn Twilight (whi...

The Lucky Penny Cafe 100 U.S. Grant St. LaGrange, OH 44050 The Lucky Penny Cafe Since we came home from our trip we decided that it was time for us to get back out there and indulge in some delicious coffee, especially since pumpkin spice season has come into full swing. If anyone knows Bea, know that she's a pumpkin spice girl. She takes her pumpkin spice very seriously.  For the past few weeks we have been busy researching a few coffee shops and found a little place in LaGrange, Ohio called The Lucky Penny Cafe. On Saturday, we left a little after eight o'clock in the morning and arrived around half past nine. It was a little tricky with our directions, the navigational lady must have not had her coffee that morning either. We had to do a small loop to get ourselves turned back around. The coffee shop sits directly next to a day care. Once in the right direction we pulled into the spacious parking lot.  The coffee shop doesn't have a lot of seating for those that want to ...
