Peninsula Coffee House and Market 1653 Main Street Peninsula, OH 44264 Peninsula Coffee House and Market If you ever wanted to experience that Hallmark movie feel then you must put Peninsula, Ohio on your list of places to visit. The Cuyahoga River runs right through town. There are beautiful trails that you can walk along if being in nature is your happy place. One of the most interesting things that Peninsula has is the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad . During the Summer it's extremely busy with nature lovers.  Peninsula is also the place where John grew up. So returning home always brings him a galore of memories.  Through research we heard about a brand new coffee shop opening up in Peninsula. This was perfect as we were heading into Cleveland and wanted to stop somewhere. A little coffee shop located right next to the river is the newest delight to be brought to town. The place I'm talking about is the Peninsula Coffee House and Market. We had the opportunity to sp...

Shale Craft Coffee

Shale Craft Coffee 1160 South Main Street North Canton, OH 44720 Shale Craft Coffee At least once a year we take a trip out to Amish Country. Only this day was a little different. We decided that on our way out we would stop in North Canton to grab a cup of coffee and check out a new coffee location. After much debate we decided on Shale Craft Coffee.  We must add that the parking is scarce and you need to pay attention to the businesses surrounding the coffee shop. They have signs up stating no parking for anyone other than their particular customers. Just when we were ready to give up we found a large parking lot across the way. There was nothing stating that we couldn't park there so that was a plus.  This was a very busy location for a Saturday morning. We introduced ourselves and asked many questions. The staff was quite knowledgeable of their product. Even when we asked questions about their coffee roaster they were able to answer. The coffee roaster that they use...

Twisted Peacock

Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop 888 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. Vienna, OH 44473 Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop We stumbled upon the Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop while scrolling through Facebook. Upon viewing what they had to offer we knew that a trip to Vienna was in order.  Saturday morning we arose from our coffee craving slumber. Got ready, piled into the car and made our way to get some coffee. We traveled about 30-45 minutes to get there. My father used to joke with us that we would drive 100 miles, one way, to get a cup of coffee. If he could see us now. Grant it, we didn't drive 100 miles, but we did pack on a few miles by the time we made it home. When we got there we were not aware that they were having a "Coffee with a Cop" event. There were several police officers present from the Vienna Township Police Department . Making our way to the front counter we were met with such a nice employee. She knew it was our first time there and still took a moment to explain what item...

Coffee Corners Antiques and Coffee House 14544 North Cheshire Burton, OH 44021 Coffee Corners Antiques and Coffee House On a cold, rainy Saturday morning what better way to warm up, but by taking a ride into the cool little town of Burton. We ended up here by a recommendation of a friend. This adventure was a little different, we were joined by friends.  Coffee Corners Antiques and Coffee House has been located in Burton for the last 27 years. Walking through the front door you wouldn't expect it to be as big as it is. It really had the feel of a Christmas Hallmark movie. They have seating in each little room, and we do have to mention that it's quite a cozy place. This location had a little bit of everything...coffee, wine, beer, candles, maple syrup, miscellaneous  items, etc. The employees had a good system of taking care of customers in an orderly fashion.  Since this was our first time visiting we wanted to order one of their signature drinks. Bea ordered a ho...
