After a bit of revamping and gathering our thoughts, we ventured back out on the Java Highway. This week we found ourselves at Cellar Door Coffee Co. in Garrettsville, Ohio. 


This was our first time visiting this location. We did check out their website prior to arriving to try and get an idea of what they had to offer. We will do research on locations prior to our arrival. Cellar Door Coffee Co. had quite a few items to choose from, including food, bakery, drinks and even ice cream. Their ice cream comes from Cockeye Creamery a local creamery from Warren, Ohio. One important piece of information that needs to be mentioned is that Cellar Door Coffee Co. has prices that are reasonable. 

The coffee shop is quite busy and has a constant flow of people. Be patient. There is plenty of seating so don't worry about not having a place to sit. The parking is generous and you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. 

Since it was our first visit we weren't sure what to order. Bea asked an employee and she suggested one of her favorites. So an iced Butter Pecan Latte with Oat milk was the final decision. It tasted like butter pecan pie in liquid form. Delicious! John ordered a hot Honey Lavender Latte. The lavender was not overpowering and they mixed well together. We ordered a small cup of their house blend from StoneFruit Coffee Co. We would like to add that the coffee did not taste bitter or burnt. That in itself is a two cups of coffee salute. 

We were preparing to leave when John decided that he must indulge in an iced Banana Monkey. If you love the taste of banana, then this is a MUST drink for you. Bea thought it was good, but it reminded her of banana chocolate milk. John's response was "well...then I will drink it all."

What can we say? You must take the opportunity to stop in and see for yourself. We are planning a return trip there so that we can try some of their food items. 


We took a few moments to look at the items they have for purchase. They have coffee cups that were made by SheaClay. The product appears to be of good quality. Some other items they have on display are tumblers, coffee packs, hats, magnets, stickers, etc.

We knew that Mount Airy, North Carolina was close to where we were heading. A little coffee shop located downtown Mount Airy called Keepsmiling A'Latte. She grew up in the area many years prior to heading off to Colorado to marry the love of her life...John.
