The new year is upon us, and you know what that means? We are back on the Java Highway searching for the best coffee locations. Our first location for 2024 led us to the small town of Cortland. This was a location that was given to us by a few locals from Cortland. 


Since this was our first time at this location we wanted to take a few moments to check out the menu. Bea decided that she was going to try a hot New Years Latte (Caramel and White Chocolate). The flavors blended well, making for a nice drink on a cold morning. John ended up with a drink called By The Fireside (Toasted Marshmallow, Chocolate and Caramel). He was pleasantly happy with the flavoring. We have to add that both drinks were not overly sweet and that's a big plus for us. The staff informed us that they used Third Day Coffee Roasters to make our drinks. If you know us then you know that not only do we order a location's specialty drink, but we will order a regular house coffee. For this they used a coffee from Marlowe's Premium Coffee. One thing that we look for is that as you drink your cup of coffee, does it become bitter? For this particular brand it did not become bitter and was nice and bold. 


With our morning coffee we shared one of their fresh baked muffins. They had an assortment so we decided on an apple muffin. The staff could not tell us where the muffins were made. This was a little disappointing as we like to know where the product is made. Was it the best muffin we ever had? No, but it was close.
 

We feel that it's important to let our readers know that there is plenty of street parking, but there is NO seating inside. The staff did live up to their statement. We were served quick coffee with a smile.

Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop 888 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. Vienna, OH 44473 Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop We stumbled upon the Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop while scrolling through Facebook. Upon viewing what they had to offer we knew that a trip to Vienna was in order.  Saturday morning we arose from our coffee craving slumber. Got ready, piled into the car and made our way to get some coffee. We traveled about 30-45 minutes to get there. My father used to joke with us that we would drive 100 miles, one way, to get a cup of coffee. If he could see us now.
