If you haven't been to Parma, Ohio please take it from us that it's definitely a unique city with so much history and ethnicity. Personally, growing up close to here one can tell you that you will be able to experience many parts of the world within one city. One thing about Parma that will always be a trademark...The flamingo. There is a neat story behind it. Take a moment and read the article in the Parma Observer about the Parma Flamingo Story 


We were taking our son up to America's largest candy store, b.a. Sweetie Candy Company. This place is an adventure for kids and adults of all ages. There is something for everyone.




If anyone knows us then they would know that we need to find a coffee shop in the area of where we are going. That's how we stumbled upon Love Coffee. For a coffee shop that hasn't been open that long, we can definitely say that they have a good thing going. They're located right next door to Brayson's Ice Cream Parlor. Walking through the doors you enter a spacious coffee shop with lots of seating and smiling faces. 


Since our son was with us he enjoyed some delicious coffee on this blog adventure. Bea started with a hot salted caramel latte. It wasn't overly sweet which is a plus for us. The caramel and coffee combined made for a delicious latte. John went with a signature drink of Love Coffee, a Parma Peeps. He stated that it was quite the sweet drink. If you ask them for something sweet please know the Parma Peeps is what they suggest. John said that the flavor was spot on and if you're a Peeps lover then you will enjoy it. Robert is one that loves his drinks sweet. So a Parma Peeps was ordered and he said, "it was perfect." We did order a cup of their house blend. They told us that it was a special blend of theirs. They do not roast their own beans. Their house blend makes for a perfect cup of coffee. Strong with no bitterness or burnt flavor. If you want a caffeine kick, we recommend trying their house espresso. 



Not only do they sell coffee, but they have a variety of merchandise that other vendors have set up. If you want a gift for someone or just to shop for yourself then they have you covered. They have everything from jewelry, paintings, plants, tumblers, honey, etc. The Honeyest One, Chunky Chicks Creations, and Crafts from the Choir Room are just some of the vendors. 









If you haven't tried Dubai Chocolate then you have been missing out. Love Coffee has your Dubai Chocolate needs covered. They get some of their bakery from Chunky Chicks Creations. They created a Dubai Chocolate Brownie! It was one of the best brownies we ever ate. Well we found out that Love Coffee has a creation of their own called the Dubai S'More Latte.




We just could not leave Parma without stopping for a bite to eat. Our love for German food led us to the Das Schnitzel Haus. John enjoyed a sausage platter while Bea stayed with the pork schnitzel sandwich. Robert played it safe with a burger. 

Breads and Beyond Bakery was our last stop before jumping on the highway to head home. A little birdie told us that they have some of the most beautiful cupcakes and cakes. Well...we can add one more thing that they should be known for. The Poppyseed Roll. It was phenomenal! Of course, the Parma flamingo made an appearance. This time in cupcake form. It was so adorable that I couldn't help capturing a photo of it.
