Myrtle Beach knows a thing or two when it comes to coffee. Beach Hippie Coffee has been on our list for locations to visit for a while. We were so excited to make a stop here and see for ourselves if they lived up to the hype. Well...they did not disappoint and we can add that they went above and beyond. If you love coffee, then this is a coffee shop you must make a stop at if in Myrtle Beach or traveling through it. You will thank us! 


Walking through the front door we were met with a smiling face and a menu. We felt quite welcomed. Providing us the menu ahead of time gave us an opportunity to look over our choices. This location is quite busy and they do have a process to move customers along. When it was our turn to order we asked for Chris. This is whom we were told to ask for when we arrived. He knew of our visit, beforehand, and was exceptionally hospitable.

Now let's take you on our coffee journey at Beach Hippie Coffee. Bea ordered an iced Banana Foster latte. It was not overly sweet, the flavors are dominant. You're able to distinguish flavor by flavor with this drink. John went with a flavor combination that is one of his favorites. A iced Supreme Bourbon Maple latte, he stated that it had a "faint taste of Bourbon, heavy on the brown sugar and not too sweet."


This particular morning we were set to enjoy coffee, coffee and more coffee. Beach Hippie Coffee offers something that many offer. What are we talking about, you ask? Coffee Flights! For us though, we asked them to throw some of their customer favorites in the mix. Below you will see how both of us rated each drink.

A fellow employee approached us to see how we were doing. Through conversation we learned that they had just roasted their own beans for a Ethopian blend. He offered us a cup of it. It was bold, not bitter, low acidity and delicious. Just the way we like it!

We purchased a couple bags of their coffee to bring home. First, we picked up a bag of Moon Dance. You can taste fruit notes in this one. This is definitely one of John's favorites. Another bag we purchased was the Tropical blend. Great tasting and one of Bea's favorites. 

NOTE: Beach Hippie Coffee roasts all of their beans for their blends of coffee. 


Not only do they serve a large variety of coffee, but food and bakery items are available as well. We shared an Asiago Bagel with Cream Cheese. Fresh and appetizing. 


Due to this being a busy location please be patient. There is plenty of seating in/out doors, and parking. Motorcycle parking can be tricky. 



This was definitely one of our favorite coffee locations from our trip down South.

We knew that Mount Airy, North Carolina was close to where we were heading. A little coffee shop located downtown Mount Airy called Keepsmiling A'Latte. Mount Airy is not only known to be a cute little town, but it is the home of Andy Griffith. Anyone that grew up watching The Andy Taylor show knows Mayberry. She grew up in the area many years prior to heading off to Colorado to marry the love of her life...John.
