After a wonderful visit to The Westmeister Farm we wanted to stop and visit a local coffee shop. It was between Ivory Bean Coffee House and another location. Through some recommendations we chose Ivory Bean Coffee House. We stopped in on an early Saturday afternoon. There were hardly any customers inside. It gave us some extra time to look over the menu. Our son, Robert, joined us on this blog. 

We are not sure if it was due to the time we visited or what was going on, but we did not have a pleasant experience. The staff was helpful, but the products were NOT spot on. Maybe another visit is warranted in the future. 


Bea ordered a hot Peppermint White Mocha and a Cinnamon Roll Muffin. The drink was okay and not too sweet. 



John ordered a hot Butterscotch Brownie Latte and a Cinnamon Roll Muffin. He stated that the drink was a mix of flavors and a bit too sweet. As for the Cinnamon roll, John and Bea both agree that it was good but a little on the hard side. 


One thing that was a major let down was the regular coffee. When you go into a coffee shop you want a good cup of hot coffee. The coffee that we received was okay and warm. Warm coffee should NEVER be served. 

Our son loves iced drinks. So he decided on a Vanilla Frappe infused with coffee. He said his drink was "yummy!" To snack on he got himself a sugar cookie. He was quite happy with it. 


For those that are traveling and want to stop please know that parking is a bit tricky and all we saw was street parking. Luckily, it wasn't busy so finding a spot wasn't hard to find.

We knew that Mount Airy, North Carolina was close to where we were heading. A little coffee shop located downtown Mount Airy called Keepsmiling A'Latte.
