On a beautiful Saturday morning, a trip to Canal Fulton makes for a great start to the day. We found a parking spot just around the corner from the coffee shop. After taking a short walk, we found ourselves at the front door of a cozy little place. Taking a step inside you find yourself surrounded by smiles, chatter and overall a good vibe. Since this was our first time there the gentleman that took our order was patient and offered suggestions. When asked if a certain drink could be made he said "yes" with confidence. Not a doubt in his voice, and that's what a customer wants to hear.

We know everyone is asking themselves the million dollar question. What was the special order item? Well...Bea had been wanting a hot strawberry and white mocha latte. Many of the places we visited could not accommodate the request. Let's just say that it is now understood why we were met with such confidence. They whipped up the perfect drink and definitely one that would be loved around the holidays or in Bea's case anytime of the year. John played it safe and went with one of their special items for the month. A hot Cupid's Pillow (raspberry and marshmallow) with the initial raspberry flavor, finishing with a mild marshmallow flavor to follow. He stated that it was "spot on with both sweetness and flavor." For our last tasting we had a cup of their house blend coffee. It reminded us of a smokey woodsy flavor. It wasn't burnt or bitter.

One of our favorite items was the coffee cake. Their baked goods are handmade with love. Don't fret if you have dietary restrictions, they have you covered. Their coffee cake was fresh and not overly sweet. John isn't a fan of coffee cake, but he definitely enjoyed it. It's worth a try and you won't regret it.

One thing they had to offer was merchandise from local vendors. So many cute items for all your gift giving needs or just a little something special for yourself.

We took the opportunity to check out a few other local businesses in the area. If you love vintage toys then you have to check out The Toys Time Forgot. Walking through the doors will take you back to your childhood. You will find yourself reminiscing about the past.

Right across the street take a stroll over to Miller-Doan Tavern. Delicious food that's reasonably priced. Their fried Reuben rolls are worth the visit. Coffee, toys and lunch made for a wonderful Saturday in Canal Fulton, Ohio.
