When you hear that there's an underground coffee house, you can bet your bottom dollar that we will make it an adventure. We heard about Undergrounds Café & Coffee House through word of mouth. So, we gathered our things, gased up our coffee-mobile and hit the Java highway. It was a beautiful, but chilly Saturday. 

Wooster was a bit of a distance, and we visited a time or two before. Our directions led us right to the entrance. You must know that it is street parking. There might be other areas to park, but we didn't see anything. 

Walking through the entrance you find yourself in a shopping mall setting. Following the signs we headed downstairs and the coffee shop appeared right in front of us. There was a door that led into the actual coffee shop with plenty of seating for patrons. 





Off to the side, on the wall, is a large menu of items that they have to offer. We took a moment to look it over before approaching the counter to place our order. They offer one item that we have never seen at other coffee shops. If you have been following the blog then you know we LOVE poppyseed roll. They told us that all of it was homemade. Yes, you guessed it we tried it along with a piece of their homemade nutroll. As for the nutroll, it was spot on and tasted like the nutroll from my childhood. The poppyseed was a little on the dry side. We weren't personal fans of it. 


Now to what you all have been waiting for. Bea had a hot Snowflake Mocha, it was quite good and not too sweet.  John ordered himself an iced Trip the the ER. He stated that it was quite strong, it hit the mark with the name. He says that "the chocolate is not overpowering and the espresso is brought out. I love it." To complete our order we included their house blend. It was not bitter or burnt, which is a plus. Not a favorite of ours, but it's worth a try.




This is definitely one of those coffee shops that is worth a return visit. They have so many options that look good. Not to mention, there are a variety of shops that you can visit. It would make for a nice date day in Wooster.
