On a chilly Saturday afternoon we decided to head out to see our friends at Bean Coffee Shop & Bistro in Chardon. The coffee shop is beautifully and conveniently located on the square. If you haven't been to Chardon please do yourself a favor and make a trip. If it's a busy day parking can be a little tricky, but don't let that deter you.

This is a busy location with plenty of seating. You will be happy to have stopped for a delicious cup of coffee. For this visit we did have a guest with us so we received input on their drink as well. 

We ordered a hot Peeps-A-Latte with a Peeps on top. Perfect drink as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor shined. The Hippity Hoppity Latte was ordered as it was supposed to be a combination of banana and vanilla. The vanilla was quite prominent, and could hardly taste the hints of banana. We were both a little disappointed in this one. The next drink that we enjoyed was the Springtime Breeze Latte. What got our attention was that it had blackberry as one of the flavors. The blackberry was prominent but not overbearing. Delicious!


For our visit we had the opportunity to meet with the owner. She was so nice and helpful. She did tell us that all food items are made in house. John and Bea decided to try something called Butterfinger Crunch, a pudding and cake base. It's very sweet and what you would expect. The flavor was spot on. 


Not only does Chardon have good coffee, but you can make a full day out of your visit. They're the home of Sluggworth's hot dog shop and Sweets on the Square. John had The Hilltopper and has stated that "it was one of the BEST dogs he's had in a while." Oh! It is a must that we add that you can indulge in a good ol' fashioned Slush Puppie. Banana Slush Puppie!

Sluggworth's Hot Dog Shoppe and Sweet on the Square are located right off the square next to the Fire Station.


After you get done eating you can just walk right next door to the candy shop. Cute little candy shop that will take you down memory lane. After you get done eating dinner, picking up a little sweets make sure to head on over to Beans Coffee Shop & Bistro, and get that good cup of coffee to top it off.
