Coffee Brake

Image
111 E. Main Street Evans City, PA 16033 Coffee Brake After our visit in Butler, PA we thought it would be really cool if we took a little detour to Evans City. If you're a movie fan and love zombies then you know why we had to go there. If you don't know then I will tell you...The ORIGINAL Night of the Living Dead was filmed there. If you're not paying attention you will pass right by it. Once you pull in the drive please know that parking is limited. This is a busy location and it helps if you know what you want before reaching the counter. By the time we left most of the people had left so we had a little more room. We were one of those people that didn't know what to order. The cashier took her time with us and helped us order. We both settled on a Banana Latte and a cup of their house blend. Our stomachs were grumbling from hunger so we ordered an Egg and Cheese Croissant and a Bacon and Cheese Croissant.  They have two different locations, Evans City and Cranberry ...

Cummings Coffee & Candy

Image
Cummings Coffee & Candy 146 N. Main Street Butler, PA 16001 Cummings Coffee & Candy   We get several messages from people that want us to check out their favorite coffee spots. After making a list and checking it twice, we decided that one place was recommended several times. The place we're talking about is Cummings Coffee & Candy in Butler, PA.  Driving into Butler gave us that warm, small town feeling. It, actually, has a few more people than where we live. After driving around a bit, trying to find a parking space we were able to get parked and start our adventure. Walking through the doors takes you back in time. Cummings Candy & Coffee has a total of four locations. We wanted to visit the original shop.  For a location that was established back in 1905, they've come a long way with keeping the dream alive. A little known fact is that they're "the oldest family run business in Butler." We enjoyed our visit so much that we cannot wait to return...

Asterisk Coffee Bar

Asterisk Coffee Bar 2101 Front Street Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 Asterisk Coffee Bar Our visit to Asterisk Coffee Bar was on a recommendation from someone we, personally, know. She had stated that it was one of her favorites. We had been to a few other places in Cuyahoga Falls, but this wasn't one of them. They're located right on Front Street. Quite a busy location with moderate seating, inside and out.  We had to park down a little ways and parking was limited. There is plenty of parking down the street, but make sure you have good walking shoes. Don't worry we had our New Balances laced up and ready to go.  Walking through the door our first impression was that it was quite busy and congested. There was no system as to who was ordering and waiting for their orders. Several customers had to ask others if they "had ordered or not." That would be a good way to get people to speak to each other. Who knows 🤔 When it was our turn to order we settled on two Honey Cor...

Harbor Perk Coffeehouse & Roasting Co. 1003 Bridge Street Ashtabula, OH 44004 Harbor Perk Coffeehouse & Roasting Co. What does one do when it's cold, foggy and just a blah day? Why, you get in the car and head for some delicious coffee. That's what we ended up doing that gloomy Saturday. The Java Highway took us to a location up in Ashtabula, Ohio called Harbor Perk Coffeehouse & Roasting Co. We were excited to visit here as we heard a lot of great things about them.  We do have to add that this location is quite busy. Parking is limited, but we did see some other parking down a ways. Walking through the front door it appeared to be a bit congested, but the further you emerged the more space opened up. The staff was very friendly and helped us pick out the perfect drink. There had been a post on their Facebook page about having an Rwanda blend. One of our followers encouraged us to try it. They told us that we wouldn't be disappointed.  They didn't have an...
